It could be the end of the world as we know it… Bill Hemmer just informed us about a massive asteroid on a possible collision course with Earth. Bill said scientists estimate the asteroid is about 2000 feet wide, making it larger than six football fields!
Former NASA astronaut and Fox News contributor Tom Jones joined Bill to discuss our interstellar dilemma.
Jones says an asteroid like this, which occasionally passes through Earth’s orbit, could cause devastation across an entire continent if it hit, wiping out the whole eastern seaboard of the United States for example.
Fortunately, Jones says this would not happen for another 170 years, so we have some time to figure out how to deal with it if perchance it decides to smack into our planet. If anyone would know, Jones would know. Tom is actually a co-chair on the NASA task force that deals with planetary defense.
So … if you knew it was your last day on earth, what would you do? How would you live up your last life moments?
